ABOUT ME
Haiming Gang works as Engineer at Honda Research Institute since 2017.
He earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from Shanghai University, Shanghai, China in 2015. In 2017, Haiming received his Master degree in Mechatronics and Robotics from New York University. He was a Research Assistant at Mechatronics, Robotics, and Controls Laboratory of NYU Tandon School of Engineering.
He works on advanced robotics focuses on the mobile robot with simultaneous localization and mapping, manipulator control, computer vision (2D/3D) with object detection, recognition and tracking, integration of robotics and mobile devices, and vehicle sensor setup, synchronization, integration, calibration and utilization of information from various data streams (e.g., cameras, Lidar, GPS, IMU, CAN bus data) to create novel applications for 3D scene understanding.
